Ravenwood Sky Maid+/

"Siri" came to us as a yearling from our good friends at Ravenwood Arabians.  She is a 2014 3/4 Arabian owned in part by our brother, Kevin Brown.  We are looking forward to seeing her grow up and become a western prospect.  She won the most colorful at halter at her first horse show - the Spots of Fun show as a two-year-old.

In 2018, she showed at her first class A Arabian show, the IEAHC show in Spokane, Washington.  She was very impressive for a four-year-old in her first performance show working well in western pleasure and half Arabian trail, winning the half Arabian trail novice horse. We are looking forward to Siri's future.

In 2019 we started in April by going to the Tommy Garland Clinic at Orrion Farms.  Here we got some great pointers from this talented clinician and were thrilled to be able to ride at this beautiful facility.  We were encouraged and excited to work toward showing at the IEAHC horse show in May.  At this show Siri again did well in her trail classes, and we added showmanship to her experience.  We placed first under both judges.  The highlight of the show was to win the Art Davidson trophy for the championship in Half Arabian Western Pleasure AOTR.  This was a dual judged class where Siri and I won under the Region 5 judge and Barbara and Dusty (RavenwoodDunIn Style) won under the Region 4 judge.  The remainder of the summer was spent showing at some  Washington State Horseman shows where she did really well and got some valuable experience showing in a bosal.  This fall and winter we will change over to a curb bit.

In 2021, Siri showed locally at the Spots of Fun horse show where she was reserve high point Arabian.  She also was shown in the IEAHC class A horse show in Spokane where she continued working in Trail, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, and Horsemanship. Later in the fall, she went to the PRAHA show in Moses Lake.  Again she showed in Western Pleasure, Showmanship, and Horsemanship along with adding Huntseat Equitation and Performance Halter.  I am very proud that she won the Half Arabian Performance Halter Mares.

2022 was Siri's first live dressage performance, so I was unsure of how she would handle it, but she took it all in stride and behaved beautifully. We showed at the Region 4 Sporthorse Championships at Devonwood Equestrian Centre which is one of my most favorite places to show and just plain hang out.  The staff and people at the show are friendly and fun to be around.

She had a very successful first Regional show winning Championships in Level 1 Open and Level 1 ATR.  She was Reserve Champion in Basic Open and Top 5 in Basic ATR.

In 2023, Siri went to the Region 5 Championship show where she was Champion in Basic, Basic ATR, Champion in Level 1 ART, and Reserve Champion in Level 1 Open.

2024 at Region 4 in Devonwood, she again won Champion in Basic, Basic ATR, Champion in Level 1 ART, and Reserve Champion in Level 1 Open.
